Pastor Gemane G. Getteh founded the Center for Christian Leadership Development and Counseling and mobilized Liberian students to serve refugee communities through teaching, counseling, and leadership training.
Weekly programs and innovative psychoeducation—including megaphone-based community broadcasts—served Liberian, Guinean, Sierra Leonean, and South Sudanese refugees.
An academic affiliation strengthened the training program, culminating in a first graduation of more than 140 students prepared to serve their communities.
The work evolved into a multidisciplinary center integrating mental-health care, professional education, leadership development, research, outreach, and consultancy.
